Ape @ a dead Just Cavalli

Tonight we went for aperitivo at Just Cavalli. We went in for free thanks to my International Student cards (I got three) and we ate some wierd food. Just Cavalli is a quite big club and tonigt it might had been 50-60 people in there so it was dead. So, we ate out free meal and then we left. Exiting evening, not.

Anyway, I'm still not feeling well so good that I came home early and I will now go to bed.

Two cocky police men, that normally just gives you an angry eye if you get close to them and their beautiful horses, stopped and got off their horses only to make a handicaped kid pet the horses.

Relaxing in the sun

After a yammi lunch with Marta, where I managed to eat a gigantic plate of pasta, I'm now in the parc.

It's the first time in at last two months I'm able to lay in the sun here in Milan (during the summer its been far too hot). It's still hot but it's nice. I don't want the summer to end!! :(

New day

Feeling better today! :) Now I'm off for lunch with Marta, then I gonna have a little picknick in Sampione park and then I'm working in the late afternoon and the evening.


Tonight free dinner at Just Cavalli, I think and hope!

Sushi sushi sushi

When I lived in London I used to ate sushi at least twice a week, at least...
Since I'm in Milan I've eaten sushi three times! Three times in four months is a shame. I'm craving for sushi; I even dream about it. It's crazy. Some people get adicted to smoking, I'm addicted to sushi for sure!

When Johanna was here we found Wasabii, a sushi bar doing Sushi aperitivo. 10euro and we get a nice fruit drink plus a buffet with nudles, sallads, tempura, edamame and of course sushi. It's not the best sushi I tried but it's ok! Yam yam!

Slept the day away

I wrote yesteday nigth that I didn't feel very well, I was extremly tired and had a sore throat. I went to bed early and felt asleep straight away but I didn't sleep very well. I woke up millions of times and was both sweathing and freezing.

This morning I got up around 9am, had breakfast and watched some crap "The hills" episodes on MTV and then I went back to bed sleeping.

Woke up again at 1pm, ate lunch and watched the new Shrek movie - Shrek forever after. It was quite bad... haha. I didn't even love the first 3 films like everyone else, so I wasn't very surprised that I didn't like the fouth one. But it had good message - try to see all the good you have in life before it's too late!

After the movie I went back to bed and slept another hour. Then I finally felt a bit better so I got up, had a long shower, some self pampering and some nice icecream.

I'm feeling a bit better now. I got fever but just a little bit. I got sore throat, but not a lot. The only thing is that I'm really tired...


Now I'm getting prepared to go out for sushi dinner with Stefii, I need to get out and see the sun light and get some fresh air. We were supposed to go to Bergamo Alta for dinner but as I didn't feel well and she only slept two hours last night we're saving that for another evening.

Dinner with Tamara

Whole day without blogging, omg ;) I just forgot about it.... The day at work was not the best... It wasn't lots of people around and I also managed to argue with my colleague - not a good thing when you're just two working together. Sigh.

After work Tamara picked me up and we went to "Exploit dinner & drinks" for some food and chat. Unfortunately the temperatures in the evening is now getting below 25 degrees so I was cold, so instead of just sittng there we went for a long evening walk.

Now I just got home and will turn on a movie and just relax. I got sore throat and I really don't wanna get sick so better be careful!!!

Tripple movie night

Today when I finished working at 7pm Sofie came to pick me up and we walked back to my place together to have a mega movie night. Later on also Sara came over.

When we got home we ate bruschettas and watched movie nr 1 - Obsessed. A quite good movie even if it was funny to see Beyonce swearing in Italian... ;)

Then we put on movie number 2 - Le conseguenze dell'amore / The consequences of love; a movie that got top critics but I thought it was crap. So strange. Didn't even understand everything.

Movie number 3 was - Serendipity. That was a movie I guess I could have liked but I fell asleep...

Now, even if I have all wet hair after the shower I gonna go to bed. I gonna wake up like a poudle but that's a problem I will deal with tomorrow.

Fun night @ Old Fashion

Yesterday night I went out with Stephanie (the girl on the left side of me) who works with me for Givenchy) and her friend Zara.

Yea, that's the gang.... and we managed to have lots of fun and get home far too late...

A night very different from my normal ones but lots of fun.

Now I gonna have a shower and then go to work......

As some of my friends are away and the rest didn't wanna go out tonight I found some new friends to go out with.

It feels strange to go out with people I just met but that's what I did more and less every day when I just moved here to Milan so why not :)

We're going to the re-opening of the lovely Old fashion, come along whoever wants to come!

Milano, mode med mera

Italiens näst största stad är värd ett besök både för sina fashionabla modebutiker och sina vackra historiska byggnader. Boka ett centralt hotell i Milano och inled dagen med att strosa runt i centrum och titta på de stora modeskaparnas kreationer. Quadrilatero heter kvarteret med alla kända märkesbutiker – Gucci, Balenciaga, Armani med flera. Priserna är höga, men att fönstershoppa kostar ju inget. Vila fötterna på en liten espressobar mellan varven och inse att du verkligen befinner dig i Italien!

När du tröttnat på att gå i affärer börjar det förmodligen bli dags för lunch – italienarna äter lunch något senare än vi nordbor, och de tar god tid på sig. Primo, secondo och dolce – avsätt ordentligt med tid för att hinna njuta av alla rätter. Vinlistan är ofta lång, och nu börjar det även finnas goda hantverksöl på många ställen.

Mätt och belåten kan du börja utforska stadens kulturarv. Katedralen med sina gotiska spiror och statyer tronar imposant på torget Piazza Doumo. Från detta torg kan du gå genom Galleria Vittorio Emanuele, en vacker butiksarkad från 1865, till Piazza della Scala. Här ligger ett av världens mest berömda operahus, La Scala, som byggdes i slutet av 1700-talet.

Den konstintresserade vill säkert se Leonardo da Vincis berömda målning Nattvarden. Den finns i ett dominikanerkloster vid 1400-talskyrkan Santa Maria delle Grazie. Vill du se mer italiensk renässanskonst kan du besöka Castello Sforzesco, ett pampigt slott från 1400-talet på bekvämt avstånd från centrum. Milano har många gamla kyrkor och andra historiska byggnader, men staden är också känd för sin 1900-talsarkitektur, som höghuset Pirellitornet vid den gigantiska järnvägsstationen Stazione Centrale.

Efter en lång dag på stan är det skönt att vila ut en stund på hotellrummet. Det finns många hotell i Milano att välja mellan, från eleganta designhotell till enklare inrättningar. Det är ingen brådska att ge sig ut för att äta middag – italienarna brukar inte sätta sig till bords förrän framåt niotiden på kvällen. Inled gärna aftonen med att ta en aperitif på en bar innan du går vidare till något av Milanos alla trevliga matställen.

Mode och kultur i all ära – staden är ju också känd för sina fotbollslag, AC Milan och FC Inter. Båda lagen har San Siro (eller Stadio Guiseppe Meazza som den heter i dag) som hemmaplan. Den fotbollsintresserade kanske har turen att få se Milanoderbyt på stadion, en fotbollsmatch mellan de två topplagen.

Thanks god it's Friday

...the only problem is that I'm working both today, tomorrow and Sunday. But hey, I'm working with my two favourite colleagues; Ilaria and Stephanie, going to work it's funnier than sitting at home so I shouldn't complain :)

Time to head to work. Outside it's warm but not sunny. I hope it's not gonna start to rain, but I have my baseball cap on just in case...

Movie - Law Abiding Citizen

Tonight I went to the cinema with Natii. We saw a movie called "Law Abiding Citizen" - In Italian "Giustizia Privata". It's a movie that came out in the beginning of the year but as Italy is even after Sweden in getting the new movies out on the cinema, this movie is quite new here... sad but true.

The first five minutes it irritated me that Jamie Fox spoke in Italian but after a while I didn't even think about it anymore as the movie was so gripping.

It was a very very cleaver movie. The idea was a little bit like the saw movies but I liked this one better. In other words a very good movie!!

Now I gonna go to bed and for the first time since I'm in Italy I think I gonna start reading a book....

Power nap in Parco Sampione

It's so nice to finish work at 2pm, I got the whole day in front of me...

I went to the design museum but the Zegna exibition finished a week ago and the Napolione Fashion exibition was temporaly closed. I had a quick look at another two exibitions but nothing of interest.

Now I'm in the park waiting for Natalia to head into town. In the meantime I take a power nap in the shaddow...

Easy days at work

In these days we're doing nothing at work... People are back from their holidays but without money so obviously they don't rush to rinascente to get a new perfume, hehe.

So, we're relaxing here at work. Talking, trying on make up and drinking coffee. Today I'm only working half day so later on I go to see a new exibition in town.

This morning when I woke up Iit just hit me how happy and lucky I am to be able to wake up and live in a country where the sun is almost always shining.

Drinks with Sofii at Bar 20

Soo nice that all my friends now are coming back to Milan. In the end, thanks to the study week, I never suffered that everyone was away as I thought I would. And actually everyone wasn't away at the same time so... well, I survived and now more and more people are coming back and I'm happy.

Now I gonna go straight to bed as I can hardly keep my eyes open. God knows why I'm so tired when I've been at home doing almost nothing all day........

Now I'm going out to meet Sofie who's finally back in town. Don't know where we're going but I need food, asap!

Maniac for creams

I've always been creazy for both face and body creams and my maniac bahavious got even worse since I started working in the beauty section at Rinascente....

I do have a rule that I have to finish one before buying a new one but if I get them for free or if they are in super sale that rule doesn't count anymore... ;-)

Favourite one - Kielh's Imperial Body Balm! Love it!
