Luca's birthday party @ Cost

Pics from yesterday night at the Cost celebrating Luca's birthday, I look terrible on every single one, haha. It was fun, beautiful place and nice people. I also met my sweet colleague Ilaria as she was there celebrating her brothers birthday.

Now I need to quick clean my room before heading to town to pic up my mum.

Fashion week

Milan fashion weeks are on and the city is full of people and fashion events. In London I hardly noticed when it was the London fashion weeks but here its impossible to miss and as I love jippoes I'm enjoying it fully.

Now I'm out ona break and I saw a bikini fashion show and a coq sportif concert. Also got myself a freshly baked baguette from Le coq :) As I already always eat two breakfasts I guess I can eat two lunches too :)

Will enjoy the beaguette in the warm sun which now is back on the sky.

First day of the autumn

Yesterday morning I was out walking in shorts and ballerinas, today I'm going out with jeans, boots and leather jacket and I'm freezing to death.

Yesterday, Milan transformed itself from the lovely 25 degres sunshine city into a raining nonstop nightmare. When we left the club yesterday night at 02.30am it was 13 degrees outside and still raining, and we were out in just a dress and high heels :(

Buuhh, I'm not happy. And today my mum is coming and I wanted to show her the nice side of Italy, not this crap...

Ready to party

Just got back from work and in 10 minutes I got ready to go out. Tonight we're celebrating a friend's birthday :)

Sorry for looking a bit angry on the pic, I'm just fed up that so many Italians never can be on time. Something e little swede can't take... ;)

Now I'm off!

Dinner and party at Loolapaloosa

Yesterday night Stefii and I went for dinner with some of the guys from Rinascente. We were a bit sceptic, 15euro - 3 course dinner, wine, and bottles of vodka in the prive'. But in the end it was true, we ate good, got to know some new people and danced around in the prive'. Didn't drink though but the bottles were there so there were no lie.

Different night!

Now I need to clean my room, go and do some food shopping and fix some things. My mum is coming to visit me tomorrow. Jippi yay!!

Working hard (not)

The worst thing of working evenings is that it's nothing to do. I enjoy when things get busy, also because the time then flys, but in the evening my four hours working shift feels like ages.

Anyway, make up is now on and soon I hit the dinner party. Can't wait, I'm starving.

Dressed for elegant dinner and fancy party...

...didn't know how to dress for tonight. First we gonna eat a three course dinner and then we gonna dance all night... hmm... anyway, I'm looking like this! Black dress + a jacket for the dinner and then just the black dress for the night. ok?

The make up will be fixed by our lovely make up artist Antonio Silva before going out tonight :)

Healthy eating

This is my lunch! Matteo left for me his mums home made vegitable soup as a starter and a dish of chicken and carrots as a mail meal. In Italy they love to eat everything seperately, fist the vegitables, then the meat, then the sallad while in Sweden we normally mix it all on the same plate. So that's what I did, I mixed the vegitable soup with the chicken and the carrots and it turned out very nice!!

Pics from yesterday ;)

Stole these pics from Alberto's fb profile... I'm on all of them but I'm hard to find ;)
On the last pic at least you see Sofie in the corner and the always smiling Claudio in the middle.

Back on track

After the mess with my friend and the traumatic 'breakup' with someone else I had a nice resting sleep and now I feel back on track. I've learned two things, extremely clear honesty with friends is very important and I also (once again) realised it's impossible to be friends with Italian guys.

However, it wasn't as bad as I might sound. I went to Old Fashion after work yesterday and I met Sofie and Monica and had some girl talk. Then Alessandro and Claudio came, I introduced them to my girls and we all danced and had lots of fun together. I also met some colleagues and other friends and talked a bit with them. I had fun, a good night. The problems came in the end of the night, thanks god for that.just before going home.... (Not posting any pics from the night)

So new day! Just had a big breakfast and a nice shower. Now I gonna go on fixing my Italian CV for an hour, then I gonna have lunch and watch 'The city' before I have to go to work at 5pm.

Tonight it's a big dinner + party with my colleagues; Rinascente party like they call it. I'm bringing Stefii and even if I feel a bit suspicious against these Rinascente events I hope we gonna have a good time.

Now I'm in Ale's car on my way home. Silence in the car...

Bad night!

A life without a mobile...

I just managed to walk half way to work and then realising I forgot my mobile at home.... Quick thinking and then I realised that NO I can't stay all day and night without a mobile so I rushed home to get it. Now I'm on the tube on my way to work....

How did we live before the mobiles took over our lives? I really can't imagne living without a mobile phone anymore... Too bad!

September

The autumn is on it's way, even if I refuse to see it.

Today it's gonna be 25 degrees during the day and 15(!!!) tonight. For the first time I don't put on a skirt or a pair of shorts, no the leggings are on, which is a pure evidence that it's no longer summer :(

Need to rush to work now, tonight Old Fashion, I think!

Dinner @ Fusion Famoso

Tonight I was craving for thai food. I love Thai food and it's so hard to find here in Italy, acctually I haven't eaten it since I moved here. After one hour searching on the internet I found a cineese / thai food not too far away from where I live so me and Matteo put on out walking shoes and went there.

It turned out to be a chinese / thai / japaneese / sushi place, haha. It didn't really attract me thanks to that but the place looked nice and was full of people so we decided to give it a try.

In the end we ate a good meal with a mix of everything :)

Now we're tired and we're sitting like two freeks in my bed looking at people's profiles on facebook. haha.

Fusion Famoso
Address: Viale Abruzzi, 76

Gossip Girl

I'm a freak I know! But since in Italy I go mad for this teenager fashionable TV show, like everyone else here. In London I used to see it with my boyfriend, and it was my friend Tobi that got us into it. I liked it but not more than that. Now I love it, and every tuesday I see the new episode (that goes on the american TV on Monday evening) and then on Wednesday all the girls at work talk about it. It's so silly. But so fanny. :)

Midnight Recovery Concentrate & Bio Oil

I just love testing new products when they are coming out. Before I had to buy them and it could get a bit expensive, especially when I didn't like the products I bought. But nowadays I can try many of the products for free as I work in the beauty industry and they give us new launched products to test.

For two weeks now I've been using Kiehl's Midnight recovery concentrate which is a natural oil that would repair your skin over the night. I like it! But both the oil and the effect is more and less like the Bio Oil that all Londoners are using and that one cost less.

However the mightnight recovery it's really a concentrate and you only need to use just few drops on your face before going to bed and in the morning you wake up with a very soft and smooth skin.

I would recommend both midnight recovery concentrate and the Bio oil. Actually, now I know when I go to London I gonna buy myself a new bottle of Bio Oil as I use it both on my face and on my body. Love it!

A post card for me!

Look what our door man just came up to us with.... A letter/post card for me from my dad saying well done with my Italian exams :)) So nice!

Now I better start studying so I pass the three exams I've got to do this semester...

Monday evening

Me today - looked gray outside when I left so I put on the boots ;)

Internet is working, amazing! I got home because I was supposed to study, haven't done a thing yet.

So far I've been chatting with friends, looking for London ticket prices (will book tomorrow), searching online if it's really true that I can't find
Victoria Secret anywhere else then in US, Canada and on heathrow airport terminal 4 and then I've been analyzing facts about bed bugs together with Tobi. Interesting evening ;)

Now I gonna watch some "the city" and then I gonna sleep. Matteo is coming tomorrow and you never know what time he will wake me up this time ;)

Worst perfume in history

Perfumes is something really personal. All people have different tastes and then the perfumes smells different on our skins.

I normally like the more fresh fragrances both for men and women but I'm not fussy and can sometimes use also the sweeter or the stronger ones.

Today I went to some colleagues to try the new Thierry Mugler perfume - Womanity. I like the bottle and I've heard people talking about it so I let the girl spray it all over my arm... I smelled it and I felt sick. Immidiate headache and I almost felt like puking. I'm not joking. I had to rush home to have a shower to get rid of the smell. I don't like the old Thierry Mungler - Angle - perfume either as it's far to sweet for me but I can understand that some people like it. But the Womanity was something so terrible that I can't understand how they can sell it. I honestly feel sorry for the girl promoting that perfume, I would had to quit the same day as the release as I never in my life would resist to smell that all day long.

Common people, go to the closest department store or perfume shop and try it. I wanna know what you think!

Three new books

... So now I have something to do during my work breaks. And also tonight!

Internet addiction

....well, like I said, today I was supposed to study. But to be able to do my online studies I need Internet. Do you think internet was working? Noooo!! So I've been spending half day trying to connect to my neighbours wireless and the other half to contact 'TIM mobile' and ask why my internet key is not working.

So frustrating!

Now internet is working again but now I have to shower and get ready to work. F*** O**. Evening plans had to be cancelled as I have to get home and study straight after work. I'm far from being happy. I'm sorry Ale!

xoxo

Study day!

The second semester of my university Italian course has now started which means I will try to have one day a week of studies. Today it's one of those days, and I'll start of with the grammar course and translating.

This afternoon I will head into town and try to buy the two new books I need.

Top news on the Italian news paper

...how Sweden voted for the right side AND opened up for the extremistic rasistic political party. I don't care about the left or right side as they both are so much better than the Italian goverment will ever be, but that so many swedes voted for SD is a shame. A big shame. But the Italian news seems to think it's funny, as suddenly the little perfect Sweden is stepping one step closer to their own rasistic thinking.

"IL LEADER NAZIONALISTA - Trentuno anni, capelli scuri, occhiali e abbigliamento all'ultima moda. Il leader dell'estrema destra in Svezia non è un vichingo biondo, ma il giovane rampante Jimmi Akesson, classe 1979, da cinque anni alla guida dei Democratici di Svezia (Sd)"
The Italian news highlights the young leader of SD, that he has dark hair (not blond) and that he's wearing the latest fashion.... (Very important fact.....) But I can see why the Italian news highlights SD and their leader Akesson as Akesson can be seemed like a little Berlusconi wannabe in his thinking about immigration, economics and criminality. But then you can look how well (read bad) Italy is situated, do Sweden wanna follow that....?

Now it's already 02.13am, so I go to bed, in shame of myself for not voting. I might not live in Sweden and haven't done in the last 5 years but everyone knowing me knows how proud I've always been of the swedish politics, so I should had voted. I really should had! :(

Language school reunion

After work today I met Sofie (who's back in town for few days), Sara and Monica at piazza duomo and I convinced them to go for aperitivo at my lovely Bobino. We went there, had some nice food, drinks and some catch up talk. We all first met at the Leonardo language school when I got here and it was nice to be together again. Later on two other guys, also from the school, joined us.

I look just a little biiiiiit tired on the pics. But don't worry, I'm at home now and I'm soon off to bed! Just need to read everything I can find about the Swedish election, didn't really go like I wanted it too. I know I shouldn't say anything as I didn't manage to vote this time, but I must still say that I'm really disappointed! I'll get back about that tomorrow.

Beautiful evening

Letters to Juliet

Just saw the movie "Letters to Juliet" which is out on the cinema right now. Sooooooo cute and romantic!

I'm a romantic person that believes in true love and in destiny and I just loved this movie!

Now time to sleep!

Miss opposite

While everyone else are waiting for Saturday night to go out and have fun, I always look forward to my Saturday night at home. I just love it. Everyone at work are stressing out to different bars and clubs and I put on my walking shoes and go home, to relax.

I go out all other evenings in the week so I've decided to have Saturday night is my night in, sometimes by myself and sometimes with company, but Saturday nigth is reserved for a cozy evening.

Now we gonna watch "Letters to Juliet" and eat popcorn.

Good night sweeties.

Black Sun Milano

First time in a sunbed in Italy! You might think why I would go to a sunbed when we still have sunny days with over 26 degrees and the answer is because I don't have time to be in the sun...

My colleague recommended this place Black Sun on Corso Vittorio Emanuelle so I went there today. It was the most amazing sunbed place I've ever seen. Super high tech mascines and excellent service.

I used the sun burning mascine only for my face and got surprised of the result. Immediate effect!

For sure I'll be back! Now time for a yammi pancerotto before heading back to work.

Last minute change

Me and the girls
Me and Ale
Yesterday night I had dinner with Luisa. We ended up talking for hours about guys, love and life. Very nice girl talk but the problem was that time flew away so after dinner, around 22.30 I decided to stay home.

At midnight I was in bed with my computer ready to watch "letters from Juliet"...
At 00;30 I was in a car on my way to the club. Some girls from work called and convinced me to join them to Alcatraz, so Luisa gave me a ride and I went there. I also invited Alessandro with friends and Mario and they both came by.

Me and the 7 girls from Rinascente danced and had fun in the beginning. And after a while I was circulating the club dancing with Ale and jumping around with Mario. I ended up having the time of my life :) Ale dropped me home at 05.00am and today I'm a liiiiitle bit tired.

Alcatraz though.. it's one of the worst clubs I've ever seen in my life. With the right people I had fun but the place is terrible, the sound of the music tremendous and the people... hmm... shouldn't say anything maybe....

Love is a cycle!

The British X-Factor is on!

It's not secret that I'm a massive British X Factor fan. I just love it. It was Annah that got me into it four years ago - my first year in London - the year when Leona Lewis won, and since I've been addicted.

Now I don't live in UK anymore and I'm quite sure the Italian X Factor won't even be close as good as the British one, so I have to follow the real X Factor online. But, ITV has blocked the show if you're streaming outside UK. Big problem. But I remember being able to see the full show on youtube when I was in New York so I guess I will have to do the same here in Italy.

So far's favourite is Cher Lloyd! :) Click here to see her audition! The Italian guy Nicolo Festa was not that bad either.... Just love his accent and his attitude!

Just found this clip online - "The Worst Ever X-Factor Fail" - couldn't help laughing.

Present from Matteo

Look what Matteo gave me. A folder from Bocconi to orginize my important papers and feel a bit.... Important and cool, like all the Bocconi students ;-)

Friday!

Tiiiired!! Yesterday night I went out for drinks with Alberto. We went to the same place as last week and then he dropped me of at my place and exactly like last week we stayed over an hour in the car outside my place to talk. Like a rewind - play situation.

This morning Matteo woke me up the first time around 09am when he rushed into my room (he now lives in Francescas room as she is away) to use the hairdryer. The second time he woke me up it was passed 12pm and he got back from uni and I was still in bed.

He convinced me to join him for lunch with his friend Fabrizio. We went for sushi (yam yam) and now Teo went back to uni, Fabri back to work and I'm in front of the central station where MTV is having some kind of concert event. Nice.

Unexpected fun night

After finish working yeterday I went out for Stefii for some catch up talk. It was a week since I last saw here and it has happened quite a lot in these 7 days... We decided to go to Old fashion as we get in for free with my International student card and we didn't wanna neirher eat or drink. I also invited Alessandro but never thought he would come, but he did come by with his friend Claudio and the four of us ended up having lots of fun and dancing a lot.

Today it's Thursday and as always I will work a mega long day with my manager. Puh.
